The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily movement of domestic truckload (TL), partial truckload, and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments within a fast-paced freight brokerage environment. This role manages shipments from pickup through final delivery, serving as the primary point of communication between carriers, drivers, customers, shippers, receivers, and internal teams. The Logistics Coordinator helps ensure freight is transported safely, legally, on time, and within budget while delivering exceptional customer service.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily movement of domestic truckload (TL), partial truckload, and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments within a fast-paced freight brokerage environment. This role manages shipments from pickup through final delivery, serving as the primary point of communication between carriers, drivers, customers, shippers, receivers, and internal teams. The Logistics Coordinator helps ensure freight is transported safely, legally, on time, and within budget while delivering exceptional customer service.
How you will be successful…
- Coordinate domestic truck shipments, including full truckload (FTL), partial truckload, and less-than-truckload (LTL) freight.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, drivers, shippers, receivers, warehouses, and customers.
- Monitor and track shipments throughout transit using transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, carrier updates, phone, and email communications.
- Provide timely and accurate shipment status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with carriers, dispatchers, drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel.
- Support carrier sourcing, capacity planning, rate requests, and load coverage to meet daily transportation needs.
- Escalate transportation issues promptly and collaborate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to resolve problems while minimizing service impacts.
- Verify carrier compliance with company standards, including operating authority, insurance coverage, safety ratings, and onboarding requirements
- Accurately enter, maintain, and update shipment information within the company's transportation management system.
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide shipment updates, and assist in resolving transportation-related concerns.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of domestic trucking operations, freight movement, carrier communications, and transportation documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email, transportation management systems (TMS), carrier portals, and other logistics software.
- Professional phone presence and business communication skills.
