Position: Farmington/Durango Site Manager
Summary: The Farmington Site Manager is responsible for overseeing a small regional division, including field operations and a portfolio of landscape maintenance clients across the Farmington and Durango areas.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines team supervision, field operations, and client relationship management. The Site Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, maintaining strong client relationships, and identifying opportunities to enhance and improve properties.
This role is ideal for a motivated, self-directed individual who enjoys working both in the field and directly with clients while taking ownership of a growing market. A Site Manager is compensated with a base salary with the potential to earn quarterly bonuses.
Reports to: Branch Manager
Site Manager Responsibilities:
1. The primary role is Farmington / Durango Site Manager. Manages a Book of Business by proactively establishing a working and professional relationship with clients (point of contact and other key relationships), Crew Leaders, Irrigation Technicians, Spray Technicians, and other field personnel. Ensure direct reports (Crew Leaders, Irrigation Techs, and Spray Techs) performance meet client expectations.
2. Directly oversees a small field team and provides day-to-day direction, support, and accountability to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Steps in to support field operations as needed.
3. Proactively manages the client’s needs and expectations by offering landscape industry solutions to help maintain property values. Monitors the customer’s properties and brings to their attention any enhancement opportunity, pest disease or nutrient deficiency in plants and trees, and irrigation leaks or upgrades to the irrigation system.
4. Ensures Green Summit Standards are being met. Pro-actively schedules and manages irrigation and spray technicians to support landscape maintenance crews. Trains direct reports as needed.
5. Controls performance and hours budget. Ensure staffing needs are met as required by contracts. Ensures time tracking is accurate and entered in a timely manner
6. Achieves Enhancement and Irrigation Sales by providing proposals/bids proactively and by-request from the customer. When necessary, uses the Green Summit Estimator and performs estimating as required for enhancement and irrigation proposals/bids.
7. Directly handles any irrigation, spray, and other necessary tasks outside of the contracted scope of work.
8. Responds to customer request via email, text, or phone call (i.e. irrigation leaks and other needs as required). Determines customer’s ideal form of communication and uses it as required.
9. Meets face to face with customers onsite or at their office on a regular basis to maintain customer interaction. Stops in or calls ahead as directed by the customer. Attends customer weekly or monthly customer meetings. These meetings could occasionally be scheduled after-hours or weekends.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in landscape maintenance, irrigation, or a related field preferred
2. Prior experience leading or supervising a team preferred
3. Strong customer service and relationship management skills

6. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
7. Ability to travel locally between job sites in the Farmington and Durango areas
Education: A degree in Landscape Management, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience in landscape maintenance, irrigation, or a related industry will be considered in place of formal education.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and comfortable using mobile and field-based technology for time tracking, communication, and job management. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to company systems and software.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and move around job sites for extended periods of time. The role also requires the use of hands and arms to handle equipment, as well as the ability to communicate effectively.
The employee may occasionally be required to sit and perform administrative tasks. This position frequently involves lifting and/or moving items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 35 pounds.
Work Environment:
The work environment is a professional office setting. Often times will be working alone and therefore required to be self-motivated and self-starting to accomplish the job duties and responsibilities.
