Join Our Team! Part-Time Donation Sorter & Electronics Tester
Love sorting through donations, figuring out how things work, and finding treasures? We want you! Our nonprofit thrift store is looking for a part-time associate to help sort and process donations, test electronics, price merchandise, and keep things moving in a busy thrift store environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Sort, price, and prepare donations for the sales floor
- Test, inspect, and troubleshoot a variety of electronic items
- Determine quickly whether items are ready for sale, need further testing, or should be set aside
- Keep merchandise organized and moving efficiently through the processing area
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist customers and answer basic questions when needed
- Occasionally help with other store duties, including the register
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, dependable, and ready to jump in
- Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Able to make quick, independent decisions and use good judgment
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable learning how to test and troubleshoot different types of electronics
- Comfortable using basic technology
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and regularly bend, reach, stand, and move donations
- Able to work independently while also being a team player
- Reliable and willing to help wherever needed
Hours: 20–25 hours per week, including some weekends
