Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vans, shuttle buses, or personal vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or other scheduled destinations
- Follow designated local driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including handling mobility aids or personal belongings with manual handling techniques
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal safety and performance
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding schedules, routes, and any delays or changes in plans
- Adhere strictly to all state transportation regulations and traffic laws during every trip
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing client needs professionally
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver is highly desirable
- Experience operating passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or medical transport vehicles
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes
- Knowledge of state transportation regulations and safety standards for passenger vehicles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients or handling equipment
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and coordination with dispatch teams
- Demonstrated responsibility in maintaining vehicle condition and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
