Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers about different cannabis products, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items and enhance customer experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Upsell products effectively by highlighting benefits and recommending complementary items
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing inventory
- Handle cash register operations, including cash drawer handling and balancing daily sales
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and product labeling
- Support store cleanliness and organization to ensure a professional shopping environment
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or specialty retail environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Experience conducting product demos or educational sessions is advantageous
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly customer interactions and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of cannabis products or related industry experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
