Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Server to join our dynamic Coffee shop team. The ideal candidate must have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and possess strong food service and customer relations skills. Experience with POS systems. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Engage with guests to foster positive guest relations and address any concerns promptly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow
- Support host duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred; fine dining is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy service periods
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Flexibility to work shifts that includes alternative weekends, holidays or overtime as needed
