What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Assistant position at Green Palms Health & Rehab of St. Marys?
Part Time
20 - 25 hours per week, variable hours
Every other weekend, every other holiday is required.
The purpose of the Activities Assistant is to provides individualized activity care and services within the Activity Department.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains up to date knowledge of activities and provides accurate documentation of all services in order to assure the highest degree of Activity Department functions.
Assists with a variety of activities, one-on-one and group activities, outside and/or inside the facility and promote positive relationships with residents and community members outside the facility.
Provides supplies and equipment for residents to participate in individual activities as assigned by the Activity Director.
Assists with the planning, developing and coordinating of resident centered activities as requested including Holidays and special events as assigned by the Activity Director.
Attend any scheduled in-services and complete monthly trainings.
Perform any other Activites related or assigned as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
