Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our team. This position involves a variety of tasks related to painting, renovation, and general labor. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and aesthetics of our projects.
Duties
- Perform basic renovations including drywall repairs and trim carpentry.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow schematics and project plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
- Conduct caulking and sealing as required for weatherproofing or aesthetic purposes.
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition through regular inspections and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance person services or general labor is preferred.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry techniques is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for project execution.
- Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during work hours.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
