We’re a dynamic and consistently growing MEP consulting firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering design services. With over 40 years of combined industry experience and a forward-thinking approach leveraging 3D BIM technologies, we deliver innovative, sustainable building solutions across a wide range of project types.
We are currently seeking a motivated Energy Consultant to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting and expanding our energy-related services, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership position as we expand our energy consulting scope.
- Use energy modeling software (e.g., EnergyPro, eQuest, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace) to perform building energy analyses.
- Prepare and manage Title 24 compliance documentation for residential and non-residential projects.
- Develop and implement energy modeling strategies for HVAC, envelope, and lighting systems.
- Evaluate energy efficiency measures and provide recommendations to optimize building performance.
- Support design teams by integrating energy efficiency requirements into mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Coordinate with architects, owners, and project teams to review energy code compliance and sustainability goals.
- Prepare CALGreen and LEED documentation and assist with other green building certifications.
- Assist with utility incentive and rebate programs, ensuring accurate submissions and maximizing client benefits.
- Develop internal standards, templates, and processes to expand and improve the firm’s energy consulting deliverables.
- Actively participate in business development efforts related to energy services, including client meetings and proposal support.
- Attend field site visits as needed for verification, inspections, and data collection.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in energy consulting, energy modeling, or related building performance roles.
- Note: Academic coursework will NOT be considered as experience.
- Experience with Title 24 energy compliance and energy modeling software is required.
- Knowledge of building codes, green building standards (CALGreen, LEED, WELL), and HVAC systems.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit and Bluebeam experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in growing and shaping the firm’s energy consulting services.
- Must reside within commuting distance to Newport Beach, CA.
