What You'll Do:
As a Workforce Coordinator, you’ll manage and deploy skilled trade labor across multiple plumbing and HVAC construction projects while supporting recruiting efforts in the North Carolina market. You’ll work closely with project management and field leadership to ensure manpower is aligned with project needs, safety standards, and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage skilled trade manpower across multiple mechanical construction projects.
- Monitor current and upcoming project workloads to align workforce availability and demand.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and field supervision to plan, schedule, and assign manpower resources.
- Visit jobsites to observe productivity, workmanship, and safety compliance.
- Develop and maintain workforce projections for management and estimating coordination.
- Support and attend career fairs and recruiting events to attract skilled trades personnel.
- Administer disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor company GPS fleet-tracking systems.
- Maintain workforce-related documentation, including timesheets, labor projections, job postings, new hire paperwork, vehicle assignments, and disciplinary records.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, field personnel, and clients.
What You Bring:
We’re looking for organized, results-driven professionals with strong construction workforce management experience.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a construction workforce or project teams (commercial mechanical construction preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred; other four-year degrees considered.
- Experience with industrial construction projects highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and building automation.
- Experience with design-build construction a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and construction management software (Procore experience a plus).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with field staff, management, and clients.
- Self-motivated with a strong execution mindset.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
