What You'll Do:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll support our Project Management team in planning, coordinating, and executing plumbing and HVAC construction projects. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and field leadership to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. After an introductory training period, this role is typically based on-site at a project location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as on-site management representation for Green Mechanical Construction.
- Assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and execution of project goals.
- Coordinate with field supervision to organize work activities and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Assist with material procurement and tracking.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and closeout documents.
- Support safety efforts in coordination with company safety policies and the Safety Director.
- Collaborate with design teams on design-build and design-assist projects.
- Attend and participate in daily and weekly project meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
What You Bring:

Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in a commercial construction environment (internship or co-op experience acceptable).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with technology and construction software tools is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with field personnel, clients, and design teams.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
