Client Accounting Services Accountant

Green Meadows Partners is recruiting for experienced Client Accounting Services Accountants to join established public accounting firms in Knoxville. If you're an accounting professional who enjoys managing the financial details, keeping books organized, and working directly with clients, this could be an excellent opportunity.

These positions focus on providing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping services for multiple business clients. You'll handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting while ensuring clients have accurate, organized records throughout the year. You'll also work closely with tax professionals to prepare the financial information and documentation needed for tax season.

This is not a supervisory position or a traditional tax preparation role. We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting, takes ownership of their work, and can manage multiple client relationships and deadlines.

What You'll Do

• Manage daily accounting activities for multiple business clients
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payment processing
• Maintain general ledgers and accurately record financial transactions
• Prepare journal entries and month-end adjustments
• Complete bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
• Assist with payroll and related accounting functions
• Prepare financial statements and recurring accounting reports
• Maintain organized client financial records and documentation
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve accounting questions
• Prepare supporting schedules and financial records for tax preparation
• Coordinate with tax teams to ensure client information is complete and ready for filing
• Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field required
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with AP, AR, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations
• Understanding of full-cycle accounting and month-end closing processes
• Experience preparing financial statements
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• QuickBooks Online experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain accurate financial records

Experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, or managing accounting for multiple businesses is a plus.
