Our growing private practice office in Green Lake is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled dental assistant for Wednesdays from 8 AM to 5 PM. Role may expand to additional days in the future.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and proficiency with dental software systems. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the Dentrix system.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary, enhancing the quality of patient care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and general dental procedures.
- Experience with Dentrix software or similar dental management systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with X-ray techniques and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Previous experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is a plus.
