Job Overview
Our growing private practice office in Green Lake is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled part time dental assistant for immediate start. Hours are flexible but availability on Tuesday and Thursday strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and proficiency with dental software systems. Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the Dentrix system.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.
  • Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary, enhancing the quality of patient care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and general dental procedures.
  • Experience with Dentrix software or similar dental management systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with X-ray techniques and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Previous experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is a plus.
