We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including prosthodontics and general dentistry tasks.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take medical imaging, including X-rays, as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as needed, functioning as a dental receptionist when required.
- Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their safety.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of dental terminology related to dental practices is essential.
- Familiarity with dental systems and documentation processes is advantageous.
- Proficiency in dental imaging techniques is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in assisting during procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
