Junk Removal Team Helper

We are a growing junk removal company in San Luis Obispo County and are looking for motivated individuals to join our team. Our company is Green Guys Junk Removal, we operate out of the City of Atascadero and serve all of SLO County. As a Junk Removal Team Helper, you will be responsible for providing efficient and reliable junk removal services to our customers. We are seeking someone who is physically strong, motivated to grow with the company, and has a can-do attitude.

Pay starts at $17 per hour with a raise after the first 3 months if performance goals are met.

Requirements:

• Physically strong and able to lift up to 75 pounds
• A can-do attitude and willingness to work hard
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Engage with customers in person in a professional manner

Responsibilities:

• Be prepared for junk removal work on time, clean, and in uniform
• Be prepared with your own proper hydration and food for the day
• Be able to lift up to 75 pounds on your own and carry large objects with a partner
• Quickly understand the backstory of the job and what needs to be done, and retain the information throughout the job
• Work quickly but carefully with a focus on safety and not damaging customer property
• Be engaging with customers, showing interest in their junk removal needs, and being personable
• Have clear communication both verbally and written to team members and customers
• Pay attention to detail and follow instructions, guidelines and checklists without many errors or careless mistakes
• Always try to have fun, and keep it light-hearted
• Accept/confirm/review job information prior to the job via the software we use
• Prepare the trailer for loading, get out tools such as shovels, trash cans, rakes, dolly, etc.
• Clean up the final parts of the job site by sweeping
• Load all tools, put away the ramp, close the gates and put a tarp and/or straps over the load
• Be responsible for dumping the junk at the landfill by unstrapping/taking the tarp off, opening the gates, and separating E-waste, metal and mattresses
• Take photos of fuel and landfill receipts, and emailing them to the admin email address
• Unload and organize metal for recycling
• Keep an eye out for, and separate items in good condition that can be resold or donated
