Key Responsibilities
- Overall Operations Management
- Develop and execute the plant's annual operational plan, budget, and KPIs. Be fully accountable for the plant's P&L, OEE, Quality, EHS, and delivery performance.
- Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Drive Operational Excellence (OE) and Lean Manufacturing systems. Identify and lead strategic, cross-functional improvement projects to optimize costs, enhance efficiency, and agility.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operational department heads (e.g., Production, Process Engineering, Maintenance, EHS) to build a high-performance culture focused on safety and quality.
- Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Act as the primary person in charge for EHS and quality compliance, ensuring 100% adherence to local regulations, corporate policies, and relevant management system standards.
- Supply Chain & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Quality teams to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance and ensure stability in material supply and product delivery.
- Capital Projects & New Technology
- Lead or approve key operational Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects. Evaluate and implement new technologies/processes to enhance long-term competitiveness.
- HQ Collaboration & Reporting
- Serve as the primary operations lead for the plant, regularly reporting performance to headquarters and effectively communicating and executing corporate strategies locally.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education
- Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience
- 10 years of operational management experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing industries, with at least 5 years in a Plant/Operations Manager or equivalent senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in leading successful Lean transformations, greenfield/brownfield project startups, or significant turnaround projects. Experience in multinational or Sino-foreign joint ventures is highly preferred.
- Core Competencies

- Leadership: Excellent team leadership, people development, and change management skills, capable of motivating teams in a multicultural setting.

- Communication & Collaboration: Outstanding communication skills in both Chinese and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with HQ, local teams, and external stakeholders.
- Language
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Proficiency in the local language (e.g., Czech, German) or Chinese is a significant advantage.
