Duties:

• Operate scale equipment to accurately weigh and measure incoming and outgoing shipments

• Correctly identify metals and other materials. Metals must be sorted and unloaded in accordance with Company Policy.

• Record and document weight and measurement data in the scrapyard software.
• Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all shipments
• Collaborate with warehouse team to coordinate order picking, packing, and fulfillment processes, able to work collaboratively and independently.
• Use pallet jacks/forklift to load and unload shipments as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area,

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

• Ability to work in the elements

Qualifications:

• Required: A High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred two (2) years in scrap metal recycling environment.
• Must have the skills and ability to identify various metals.
• Familiarity with scrapyard software is a plus.
• Ability to operate scale equipment accurately and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs and use pallet jacks and/or forklift for loading/unloading tasks
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation purposes
