Green Drop Garage is an eco-friendly, full-service auto repair company with multiple locations in Portland and Vancouver. We’re building a system-driven, scalable operation—and we’re hiring an Operations Director to lead performance across all shops.
This role ensures consistency, quality, and predictable results while building the systems and leadership needed for expansion.
Reports to CEO/COO.

What You’ll Do
Lead Multi-Shop Operations
- Own operational KPIs across all locations
- Standardize shop systems, workflows, and processes
- Improve throughput, bay utilization, cycle time, and shop readiness
Develop Shop Managers & Teams
- Coach Shop Managers and build leadership depth
- Improve technician retention and team engagement
- Lead manager meetings, communication rhythms, and accountability
Build Systems for Scale
- Create SOPs, audits, readiness checklists, and QC standards
- Partner with Service Director to align workflow
- Strengthen consistency across all shops
Talent & Staffing
- Ensure staffing coverage across locations
- Build technician recruiting and retention systems
- Partner with HR on hiring, performance, and terminations
Quality & Preventative Leadership
- Reduce comebacks and increase repair quality
- Implement QC for DVIs and repairs
- Build a culture of early problem detection
Cross-Functional Operations
- Partner with Parts Manager on accuracy and cost control
- Oversee fleet operations and vendor relationships
- Prepare shops for expansion by removing bottlenecks

What You Bring
- Experience managing multi-location operations (automotive preferred)
- Strong leadership and people-development skills
- Deep understanding of technician workflow and shop operations
- High emotional maturity and clear communication
- Ability to build systems, processes, and structure
- Comfort with technology (Tekmetric a plus)
- Valid driver license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
