Green Dot Labs is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Operations Manager to lead post-production operations across packaging, labeling, and finishing processes for carts, dabs, pre-rolls, and flower products.
This role serves as a critical operational bridge between upstream production and downstream inventory and fulfillment, ensuring finished goods are produced with accuracy, consistency, compliance, and efficiency. You’ll lead a team of 30 employees while driving operational excellence, maintaining product integrity, and aligning production output with evolving business needs.

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 30 employees across production, packaging, print, and sanitation functions
- Manage direct leaders, including Production Manager and Supervisors, to ensure strong frontline leadership
- Oversee post-production operations from production handoff through final packaging and labeling of finished goods
- Direct daily and weekly production scheduling to support both long-term planning and just-in-time production goals
- Monitor production performance against forecasts and adjust output in coordination with planning teams
- Ensure packaging, labeling, printing, and sanitation operations meet productivity, quality, and safety targets
- Maintain manufacturing specifications, documentation accuracy, and compliance standards
- Serve as the point of accountability for aligning printing output with packaging workflows, compliance requirements, and product timelines
- Oversee sanitation programs and enforce hygiene, safety, and changeover protocols
- Lead audit readiness efforts for OSHA, MED, and internal compliance requirements
- Partner with Facilities to support equipment performance, preventative maintenance, and operational readiness
- Drive process improvement initiatives focused on throughput, efficiency, and cost control
- Track and report on key performance indicators including throughput, labor utilization, yield, and schedule adherence
- Analyze operational data and implement improvements based on performance insights
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Compliance, Facilities, HR, Marketing, Inventory, and Fulfillment teams to align production with business priorities

- Proven leadership experience managing teams across production, sanitation, or shift operations
- Strong knowledge of sanitation protocols, food safety standards, and facility hygiene best practices
- Working knowledge of OSHA, MED, and related compliance standards
- Experience partnering with Facilities or Maintenance teams on equipment performance and preventative maintenance
- Familiarity with cannabis tracking and compliance systems preferred
- Experience with production scaling, changeovers, and new product implementation
- Background in process improvement, equipment optimization, and production flow design
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and making data-driven decisions
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement training strongly preferred
- Desired experience leading a manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment.

This role is primarily onsite in Boulder, CO and requires regular presence in production, packaging, and office environments. The position may require standing for extended periods, walking throughout the facility, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving materials and equipment up to approximately 40 pounds. Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required based on production schedules, changeovers, or operational needs.
