About the Role:
The Packaging Specialist I is an entry level position in our quality-driven, craft cannabis packaging facility. This person will be involved in many aspects of the packaging of products. The person will be required to focus on quality products, time management and efficiency. The ability to remain focused on packaging goals and communicate with team members and leadership is critical.
Packaging Tasks:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines of packaging and handling of materials in the lab
- Prepare containers for product
- Measure or weigh products in all forms into gram increments
- Maintain consistent quality control standards
- Weigh and package all items into appropriate containers
- Use all the equipment to complete tasks according to requirements for each product
- Assist with labeling of outgoing orders
- Maintaining clean workspace
- Maintain condition of all lab equipment
Administrative & Additional Tasks:
- Track and record daily packaging data
- Assist in the delivery process as requested
- Additional duties as assigned
Compliance & Regulations:
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all GDL policies, procedures, SOPs and quality standards pertaining to packaging, QC, order fulfillment and inventory
- Maintain confident comprehension and ensure compliance with Department of Health Services Adult-Use Marijuana Program regulations as they apply to cannabis production and delivery, including but not limited to:
- R9-18-308 – Administration
- R9-18-309 – Selling or Otherwise Transferring Marijuana or Marijuana Product
- R9-18-310 – Product Labeling and Packaging
- R9-18-311 – Analysis of Marijuana or Marijuana Product
- R9-18-312 – Security
- R9-18-312.01 – Delivery to Consumers
- R9-18-314 – Inventory Control System
Specifications of the Position:
- 40-hour work week applies
- Working hours will be spent in the lab
- Moderate physical such as walking and lifting is required on a daily basis
- Safety gear and PPE required as outlined by SOP
- Able to lift at least 20 pounds, stand for long periods of time, bend, push, pull and reach

Education, Experience, & Other Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be 21 year of age
- Must have and maintain FA Card
- Previous hands-on experience gramming cannabis products, including hash preferred
- Must have reliable form of transportation
