At Arbour Square of Harleysville, residents choose independent living for more freedom, connection, and ease. We are looking for an Executive Director who will bring that experience to life through strong teams, sound operations, and trusted relationships.

This is a hands-on leadership role with broad ownership. You will guide every community department while staying accountable for resident satisfaction, occupancy, financial performance, team culture, and day-to-day execution. You will also partner with regional leaders to turn company priorities into results at the community level.

What you'll lead

The resident experience. Serve as a visible, trusted leader for residents, families, prospects, associates, community organizations, government agencies, and the public. Listen closely and help create a community where people feel known and respected.

Community operations. Lead resident support, sales and marketing, administration, dining, activities, housekeeping, security, and maintenance. Set clear priorities and keep departments working together around the resident experience.

People leadership and culture. Hire, train, coach, develop, motivate, and, when necessary, discipline associates. Build an accountable team and give department leaders the support and direction they need to perform well.

Sales, marketing, and occupancy. Partner with sales and marketing leaders to strengthen community awareness, prospect relationships, and occupancy. Keep the team connected to sales goals and the experience promised to future residents.

Financial stewardship. Manage the community budget, monitor performance, use data to anticipate challenges, and build practical action plans. Balance cost-effective operations with the quality and service residents expect.

Quality, safety, and compliance. Maintain a safe, well-run community that follows company policies and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Address operational issues promptly and hold teams accountable for consistent standards.

Strategic partnership and execution. Work closely with Regional Directors of Operations and Sales on budgets, ongoing initiatives, new priorities, and the execution of the True Connection Communities vision for senior living excellence.

Visible leadership and accountability. Lead by example with genuine care and respect for the team, community, amenities, and residents. Participate in the rotating Manager-on-Duty program, including assigned weekends.

What you'll bring

Leadership experience. At least two years of director-level or higher leadership experience in senior living, hospitality, or a related environment.

Multi-department operating experience. The ability to lead several departments at once, set priorities, meet deadlines, and keep a fast-moving community operating smoothly.

People-centered leadership. A record of building rapport with associates, residents, prospects, and families while coaching teams toward clear expectations and strong performance.

Financial and analytical judgment. Experience managing budgets and using data to identify challenges, evaluate performance, and develop strategic action plans.

Independent problem-solving. Strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and an adaptable approach when business needs or community priorities change.

Technology fluency. Comfort navigating websites, spreadsheets, email, and other business tools. Experience with Excel and Salesforce is highly desired.

Education and industry background. A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Senior living, independent living, active adult, property management, or hospitality experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This role participates in the rotating Manager-on-Duty program, including assigned weekends.
