What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual 4K Teacher ($1,000 Sign-on Bonus!) position at Green Bay Area Public School District?
The Head Start Teacher is a full-time teaching position, serving children ages 3 to 5 across two Green Bay Area Public School District locations: the Head Start Learning Center and Jefferson Head Start.
Green Bay Public Schools’ Head Start program serves 336 children and their families through a unified, collaborative approach across two sites. The Head Start Learning Center is located on Bellevue Street, adjacent to the East River Trail, while Jefferson Head Start is nestled in a well-established neighborhood north of Velp Avenue and west of the Fox River.
Each site features eight classrooms and is supported by a dedicated team of educators, paraprofessionals, home visitors, and specialists. Students attend either half-day or full-day programs, Monday through Thursday. The program is co-directed by the principals of both buildings, ensuring consistency and shared leadership across locations.
Instruction is guided by the Creative Curriculum and assessed using Teaching Strategies GOLD. As a Pyramid Model Implementation site, the program emphasizes social-emotional development alongside academic growth. The mission of Head Start is to enhance school readiness for children from low-income families by nurturing their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
