Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Analyst with expertise in LCMS (Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry), GCMS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry), ICPMS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry), and HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) for cannabis compliance testing. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for performing analytical testing, data analysis, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct cannabis sample preparation and analysis using LCMS, GCMS, ICPMS, and HPLC techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Generate accurate and reliable analytical data within specified turnaround times.
- Review and interpret analytical results, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Document all laboratory activities, including sample information, procedures, and results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues and provide support.
- Stay updated with current cannabis testing regulations, industry trends, and scientific advancements.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with laboratory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in LCMS, GCMS, ICPMS, and HPLC techniques.
- Proficient in sample preparation, method development, and method validation.
- Familiarity with cannabis compliance testing regulations and requirements is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment (ISO 17025, cGMP, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume testing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot instrument issues.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and integrity in all laboratory operations.
