Life Enrichment Coordinator – Full-Time

Green Acres Retirement Community of Mt. Pleasant is currently welcoming applicants for a Full-Time Life Enrichment Coordinator (LEC) to plan, organize, and implement engaging activities and events for our residents.
Position Summary
The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for developing and leading meaningful recreational, social, and community-based activities for approximately 32 of our 64 residents. This role works collaboratively with the Co-Life Enrichment Coordinator and plays an important leadership role in creating a vibrant, engaging, and supportive community for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement entertainment and activity programs for residents
- Collaborate closely with the Co-Life Enrichment Coordinator
- Provide transportation for community outings (must be able to drive facility vehicles)
- Host and coordinate facility-wide events and celebrations
- Recruit, manage, and support volunteers
- Create content for print materials and social media platforms
- Provide leadership alongside the team while inspiring and supporting staff
- Promote resident engagement, independence, and quality of life
Qualifications
- Experience in activities, recreation, life enrichment, or related field preferred
- Strong organizational, creativity, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Comfortable providing transportation for outings
- Passion for working with the elderly and enhancing residents’ quality of life
