Batching Technician

GBC Foods is looking for a dedicated Batching Tech to join our team.

The responsibility of a Batching Technician is to ensure all correct ingredients are used in a correct and food safe manner. Your job will be to prepare and fulfill orders fast and correctly so we can provide high-quality customer service.

The following is a list of duties and responsibilities, this is not all inclusive list:

• Responsible for checking all ingredients for the correct lot number, expiration date and quantity.
• Fill the blender or kettle with ingredients following steps on batch record.
• Operate, clean, and maintain high volume, blending machine equipment necessary to complete production requirements.
• Regularly lift and carry heavy containers, and perform all duties of the job in a safe manner.
• Work unsupervised (after training completed), pay attention to detail;
• Follow all GMP and SOP requirements.
• Maintain routine written logs and records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators.
• Read batch records, operating instructions, and safety regulations.
• Work in production as needed.
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor

Education & Experience:

• 1-3 years of restaurant experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Exposure to extremely hot temperatures.
• Will be required to spend the majority of time on his/her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours
• Responsible for moving or lifting an average of 10-60 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 60 pounds
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, ladders, step stool and box cutters, pallet jacks.
• Proper PPE must be worn when working in manufacturing areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
