**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

• Responsible for safety and well-being of slide participants.
• Responsible for positioning self for optimal supervision of slide
  
  

ladder and launch areas; manage timing of participants slide ladder

ascent, check minimum height requirement, and launch into the slide.

• Providing clear and consistent expectations for behavior; setting
  
  

firm limits with positive phrasing and actions as necessary.

• Working in conjunction with aquatics staff to promote safety first.
• Following and enforcing all safety procedures, rules and
  
  

regulations.

• Being able to positively correct any unsafe pool activity
  
  

immediately, every time, without exception.

• Being knowledgeable and prepared to implement emergency procedures
  
  

immediately.

• Reporting all incidents/accidents on the appropriate form and
  
  

provide to supervisor within 24 hours of event.

• Never leaving slide unattended.
• Reporting any facility or equipment irregularities to supervisor, in
  
  

writing.

• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of deck and other cleaning
  
  

duties as assigned.

• Attend all required training and scheduled meetings.
• Maintaining good attendance and following procedures for tardies and
  
  

absences.

• Maintaining effective, positive relationships with members,
  
  

participants, staff, and volunteers.

• Supporting Strong Community Campaign fundraising efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.

responsibilities in order maintain a safe and enjoyable aquatic

environment.

**Summary**

Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, the **slide monitor** will

prevent accidents before they occur to promote the general safety of

slide participants and to protect life at all times.
