Assistant Toddler Teacher

Newtown PA | Part Time | Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm | $15.50-$17.00 per hour

What is needed for this job

• High school diploma
• Associate/Bachelor degree or college credits from an accredited college or university in childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field preferred
• Are 21 and have 2 years of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or familial capacity
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment, specifically 12-18 months
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances
  
  

The responsibilities we will trust you with

• Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
• Facilitating nap time, clean up, snack time, diapering and hand washing
• Being patient and kind with our parents
• Supervising children at play in the classroom and on the playground as parents pick up children, with a focus on making sure child's items go home with them at the end of the day
• Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
• Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children
