FULL TIME CLEANER - BUSH CAMPUS

Full-Time (1.0 FTE), 8-Hour Day, 12 Month Position. SECOND SHIFT: 3:00 - 11:00 p.m. Additional Night Differential Pay of 3%

The following work activities are listed as examples only and in no event shall an employee be limited to only those examples listed here:

• Dust, vacuum, sweep
• Wash windows, walls, woodwork, water closets, tubs and bowls
• Gather and dispose of refuse
• Uses heavy mechanical equipment to strip, polish and wax floors
• May open and secure buildings
• May varnish, shellac and polish furniture and brass
• May tend the furnace
• May be required to perform minor maintenance tasks such as unskilled painting or carpentry
• May be required to replace lights, hang window shades and Venetian blinds
• Carry out all other duties as assigned

Non-Competitive, Labor class Civil Service position

• Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions
• Ability to read and write
• Willingness to perform janitorial tasks
• Good communications skills, thoroughness, cleanliness and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position
• Contributing member of a team
