💚 Make a Meaningful Impact — Every Day

At Greater Seacoast Community Health, we believe that mental health care is essential care.
We are seeking a compassionate and driven Behavioral Health Specialist to join our integrated care team — where your work directly improves lives across our community.

If you are passionate about supporting individuals through mental health and substance use challenges — and want to be part of a collaborative, mission-driven environment — this is your opportunity.

🌟 Why This Role Matters

Our mission is simple and powerful:
To provide innovative, compassionate, integrated health services that are accessible to all — regardless of ability to pay.

In this role, you will:

  • Support patients through critical moments and long-term care journeys
  • Work alongside primary care providers in a truly integrated model
  • Help reduce barriers to behavioral health services
  • Be part of a team that values empathy, collaboration, and excellence

🧠 What You’ll Do

As a Behavioral Health Specialist at GSCH, you will:

  • Conduct mental health assessments and provide individual and group therapy
  • Provide crisis intervention and “warm welcome” support for patients in need
  • Collaborate with medical providers and interdisciplinary teams to address mental health and substance use concerns
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support continuity of care through referrals and follow-up

🧩 What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • Master’s degree in a mental health-related field
  • Eligible for licensure in New Hampshire (LICSW, LCMHC, or equivalent track)
  • Active BLS certification (or ability to obtain)

Preferred:

  • Fully licensed in NH
  • Experience in mental health and/or substance use treatment
  • Experience in integrated or community health settings

đź’ˇ What Sets You Apart

  • Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Ability to assess, triage, and respond to a wide range of patient needs
  • Comfort working both independently and within a collaborative team
  • Excellent documentation and EHR skills
  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach

🌍 Why You’ll Love Working at GSCH

We care for our team the same way we care for our patients — with respect, support, and investment in your growth.

You’ll enjoy:

  • Purpose-driven work that truly makes a difference
  • A collaborative, team-based environment
  • Opportunities for clinical growth and supervision toward licensure
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including:
    • Medical & dental insurance (including a no-premium employee-only option)
    • 15–20 days earned time off 7 paid holidays
    • Employer-paid life insurance & short-term disability
    • 401(k) with employer match

🤝 Our Values

At GSCH, we lead with:

Compassion. Respect. Integrity. Collaboration. Excellence.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where both patients and staff feel supported, valued, and empowered.
