What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rutland Town School - Kindergarten Paraeducator position at Greater Rutland County Supervisory Union?
Rutland Town School - Kindergarten Paraeducator - Rutland Town School is seeking a kindergarten classroom paraeducator. The classroom Paraeducator is involved in supporting students and classroom teachers within the regular school setting. The Kindergarten Paraeducator will perform a variety of supportive activities with a diverse student population.
~ Work with individual/small/large groups of students
~ Support classroom teachers in curriculum development, activity modification and other clerical duties as assigned
~ Assist students with work completion within the classroom
~ Assist with general classroom behavior management procedures and communicate with classroom teachers and other team members
~ Attend team meetings as requested
~ Assist with supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies and field trips, as needed
~ Report all student safety issues to the classroom teacher
~ As needed, fill in as a classroom teacher or other staff roles, including pre-kindergarten teachers or staff (PreK training, documentation, fingerprints, and background check required)
~ Other duties as assigned by classroom teacher or administrator
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.29 - $25.06 per hour
Expected hours: 32.5 per week
