What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Medical Director position at Greater Philadelphia Health Action?

A full-time position for a Board-certified physician is available in GPHA’s Medical Division. Family Medicine is an ideal specialty for this position; however, this position could be filled by a physician of any specialty who is able to work beyond the usual bounds of his/her specialty to ensure quality care, data analysis of clinical outcomes, project management, and personnel supervision.
The Associate Medical Director joins a physician-led management team that includes the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Clinical Officer. The Associate Medical Director manages selected clinical services to optimize quality of care and is directly involved in performance improvement across specialties. Management responsibilities include clinical teaching, data analysis/chart audit, participation in the credentialing of licensed independent practitioners, and provision of direct clinical services (part-time). Associate Medical Directors may serve as site-specific directors.
