What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postsecondary Adjunct Instructor for PA Vehicle Safety Inspection Training (Part-time) position at Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center?
Candidate will teach the Pennsylvania state-approved vehicle safety inspection training for auto mechanics to achieve the required certification to conduct vehicle safety inspections in Pennsylvania. The instructor teaches a 12-hour course, administers the written exam, and conducts the tactile testing. The schedule for the course varies; the typical course schedule includes evenings and/or weekends. Interested candidates must possess a current Pennsylvania Certified Inspection Mechanic license. Prior teaching experience is preferred, but not required, as other forms of instruction, such as automotive experience, can be considered. This is a part-time position paying $25.00/hour.
