What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Data Strategist position at Great West, an Old Republic Company?
We’re looking for a Sr. Data Strategist to serve as a key partner to the business turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and measurable results. In this role, you’ll own end to end analytical initiatives, lead business requirement gathering, and design KPI frameworks that enable leadership to track performance and uncover opportunities. You’ll work cross-functionally to shape data strategy, deliver meaningful analysis, and elevate how data is used across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Lead advanced analytics and translate data into business insights
- Design and govern KPI frameworks and performance metrics
- Partner with stakeholders to define problems and deliver solutions
- Identify trends, opportunities, and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years in analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy
- Strong experience with SQL, BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, Cognos), and Python or R
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Experience working in agile environments preferred
