Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Safety Manager to champion a culture of safety and compliance across our manufacturing operations. In this vital role, you will lead efforts to ensure a safe working environment, uphold regulatory standards, and foster continuous improvement in occupational health and safety practices. Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Provide training and development sessions on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and workers' compensation law compliance.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, inspection logs, training records, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for occupational health initiatives that promote worker well-being and reduce workplace injuries.
- Stay current with evolving EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, and occupational health principles.
- Certified in first aid, CPR, and trained in report writing and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Knowledge of EPA standards related to environmental safety and hazardous materials management.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective training sessions focused on safety & health topics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop clear safety policies and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple safety programs simultaneously.
