Safety Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Safety Manager to champion a culture of safety and compliance across our manufacturing operations. In this vital role, you will lead efforts to ensure a safe working environment, uphold regulatory standards, and foster continuous improvement in occupational health and safety practices. Your expertise will help protect our team members, enhance operational efficiency, and promote a safety-first mindset throughout the organization.

Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
• Provide training and development sessions on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and workers' compensation law compliance.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, inspection logs, training records, and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for occupational health initiatives that promote worker well-being and reduce workplace injuries.
• Stay current with evolving EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, and occupational health principles.
• Certified in first aid, CPR, and trained in report writing and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Knowledge of EPA standards related to environmental safety and hazardous materials management.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct effective training sessions focused on safety & health topics.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop clear safety policies and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple safety programs simultaneously.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 46 – 50 per week
