I. TITLE OF POSITION: IT Infrastructure Support Specialist
II. NATURE OF POSITION: This is a safety sensitive position. This position requires a skilled and motivated Network Engineer or IT Specialist with hands-on experience in network infrastructure and firewall configuration. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic healthcare IT environment and is passionate about secure, scalable network design.
III. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s (or higher) degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering or IT support with a networking focus.
- One or more relevant technical certifications (e.g. A , Network , Security ) preferred.
- Basic understanding of desktop operating systems, various software applications and PC/Server/Network hardware.
- Basic understanding of Internet technologies and products.
- Basic understanding of electrical safety procedures.
- Proficiency in Cisco Firepower, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and subnetting.
- Experience with VPNs, NAT, firewall rules, and wireless AP deployment.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
IV. SALARY GRADE AND CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

V. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under general supervision, provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution to customer end-users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions in a call center environment.
- Answering the help desk phone, creating new or updating existing tickets, and responding to tickets assigned as appropriate.
- Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly professional manner and assist senior technicians as needed.
- Follow defined procedures and policies to resolve recurring issues.
- Escalate or involve senior technicians on more sensitive or complex end-user problems.
- Perform related work as required.
- Has the ability to work remotely at the discretion of the supervisor and in alignment with GSP Health policies.
VI. Preferred Skills
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID.
Experience in healthcare IT environments and compliance standards
