Educational Technician I, II, III

Overview:

Great Salt Bay is seeking a dedicated Educational Technician to join our special education team. 

Qualifications:

 

  • Certification as an Educational Technician I, II, or III (as required by the position and state guidelines)

  • Experience working with students with developmental, intellectual, or behavioral disabilities in a school or structured setting

  • Knowledge of life skills instruction, including personal care, hygiene, communication, community access, and functional academics

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with special education teachers, therapists, and families

  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility when working with students who have diverse and complex needs

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies

  • Basic technology skills for data entry and use of assistive technology

  • Crisis prevention and intervention training (e.g., CPI, Safety Care) preferred or willingness to be trained
