Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of our facilities. This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to work with various tools and technologies. The Facilities Assistant will ensure that all apartment mechanicals are operational and that the complex is well functional and maintained.
Duties
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of building systems including plumbing such as installing faucets, toilets, draining issues, etc.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Understand electrical such as replacement of lighting, outlets.
- Perform residential painting tasks as needed to enhance facility aesthetics.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from staff regarding facility issues utilizing property management software.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in building maintenance preferred.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using an Ohmmeter for testing electrical components is a plus.
- Previous experience with Appfolio software is desirable.
- Ability to perform residential painting tasks effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to quality work.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
