Location: Great Plains Recovery Center – Tulsa, OK
Reports To: Regional Director of Business Development
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Business Development Liaison is responsible for building and expanding referral relationships that drive patient admissions and strengthen community partnerships for Great Plains Recovery Center. This individual will develop and execute strategic outreach plans within the assigned territory, fostering trust and collaboration with referral partners to promote the company’s treatment programs. The position requires professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to the mission of providing compassionate and effective care to individuals in recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Growth & Outreach
  • Develop, manage, and grow relationships with key referral sources including hospitals, behavioral health providers, EAPs, therapists, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, and community organizations.
  • Conduct consistent outreach to new and existing partners to generate qualified referrals and admissions.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnerships and new account acquisition.
  • Presentations & Education
  • Conduct professional presentations to healthcare providers, community groups, and organizations to educate them about Great Plains Recovery Center’s programs, admissions process, and patient care standards.
  • Complete 4–6 quality presentations per month, each with three or more engaged attendees.
  • Activity Expectations
  • Maintain a daily schedule that includes at least four in-person meetings and twenty outbound calls to referral sources.
  • Respond promptly to all calls and emails from referral partners and families.
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings, case reviews, and marketing strategy sessions.
  • Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with admissions, clinical, and leadership teams to ensure a seamless experience for patients and referral partners.
  • Submit timely reports on weekly activities, visits, and referral progress using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with peers across territories to share insights, best practices, and strategies for success.
  • Professional Conduct
  • Represent Great Plains Recovery Center with integrity and professionalism at all times.
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding expenses, travel, and branding.
  • Maintain professional attire and demeanor appropriate to business settings.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in healthcare business development, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in the substance use treatment or behavioral health industry strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence referral sources.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
  • Technologically savvy and able to create and analyze performance reports.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel regionally.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and communicate effectively.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
  • May involve travel within multiple counties or states and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Salary : $55,000 - $85,000
