Community Development Specialist Eastern Oklahoma Development District (EODD)
Eastern Oklahoma Development District (EODD) is seeking a motivated Community Development Specialist to help communities throughout eastern Oklahoma secure funding, improve infrastructure, and plan for future growth.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about serving others, enjoys working with local governments, and wants to build a long-term career with our organization.
- What You'll Do
- Assist with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications and grant administration.
- Develop and support Capital Improvement Plans (CIP).
- Conduct GIS mapping and infrastructure inventories.
- Provide technical assistance to local officials and community leaders.
- Facilitate planning meetings and support community development projects.
- Represent EODD at meetings and complete related training and special projects.
- Qualifications
- Degree in Public Administration, Business, Planning, or a related field (Preferred but can be substituted with equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of local government, planning, or grant administration preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to travel, work occasional evenings, and pass a background check.
