Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide helpdesk support for our user base, install and support PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, troubleshoot systems and assist team members in supporting company technology.
This position typically works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some day-travel to other facilities within Kansas is required. Occasional hours outside this schedule, including evenings or weekends, may be required for special projects.
This is an On-Site position in Salina, KS.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide helpdesk and technical support either by phone, remote access, or site visits
- Set up and support computers, printers, scanners, phones and other endpoint equipment for users
- Set up and support network equipment, wireless, video conferencing and telecommunication equipment
- Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
- Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software and hardware
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Monitors information technology department tasks and recommends quality improvement initiatives to the IT Operations Manager
- Consult with vendors and clients to integrate and update company technology
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or related discipline; minimum two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience in Windows Server/virtual environment
