We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Barista who is passionate about hospitality and guest service. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality beverages, providing warm and attentive service, and supporting daily café operations and catered functions. The ideal candidate anticipates guest needs and helps maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.
Responsibilities
Customer Service & Hospitality
- Provide elevated, customer-first service with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively address questions or concerns.
- Maintain strong knowledge of coffee, tea, baked goods, and retail offerings to confidently describe menu items.
Beverage & Food Preparation
- Prepare high-quality, consistent coffee and tea-based beverages.
- Assemble food items as needed, ensuring quality, presentation, and adherence to standards.
Cafe Operations
- Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café throughout the shift, including service areas and equipment.
- Restock food and beverage items as directed by management.
- Perform opening and closing procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with managing, counting, and organizing café inventory.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of hospitality experience in a customer-facing role
- Passion for food, beverage, and hospitality
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly describe menu items
- Professional demeanor and polished appearance
- Strong work ethic; well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with a sense of urgency
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable
- Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude
- Experience with restaurant POS systems and cash/credit card handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., reach, bend, and stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- Food Handler’s Certificate is a plus

Schedule: Full Time, On-Site
Base salary: $23.00 - $25.00/hour
