Responsibilities
- Operate sanding equipment and power tools to smooth and finish surfaces of millwork, furniture components, or other fabricated parts
- Use hand tools and fabrication techniques to refine product details and prepare items for assembly or finishing processes
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse or production floor, ensuring proper storage and movement using forklifts or other material handling equipment
- Assist in assembly and fabrication tasks as needed to support production flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment during all tasks
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while ensuring quality standards are met
Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing, woodworking, or a related production environment is preferred
- Familiarity with forklift operation, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of carpentry, fabrication, or construction processes will be advantageous
- Warehouse experience that includes materials handling and inventory management is a plus
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively
