OPERATIONS DIRECTOR – Hamilton Central/Community Center
Location: Hamilton, OH
FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay Range: $50,000/yearly
Status: Full Time
Reports to: District Branch Executive
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Branch Executive, the Family Program Operations Director is responsible for the daily direction, management, and coordination of operations including community-based programs, community center leadership, and branch activities. This position is also responsible for providing high-quality programming and excellent services that meet the needs and interest of the community, facility, members, volunteers, and staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
1. Oversee the daily operations of a community-based center, including the regular inspection of the facilities, property, and equipment to ensure high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
2. Assists Branch Executive in setting goals and increase the number of individuals served.
3. Recruits and secures sufficient qualified staff and volunteers to effectively operate the community center and assigned programs.
4. Collaborates with community organizations and service agencies to support YMCA programming.
5. Monitors budgets, schedules, and other related items as needed.
6. Hires, trains, supervises, and provide guidance to staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Facilitates communication and provides leadership. Models’ relationship-building skills in all interactions.
7. Completes payroll and other administrative duties for branch staff as assigned.
8. Ensures participant, staff and member concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
9. Assures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Ensures that program and facility standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
10. Supports all branch and association-wide membership retention and engagement initiatives including annual campaign efforts.
11. Facilitates programs and activities improve the outcomes and quality of life for those we serve. Collects outcome impact data to evaluate the effectiveness of the programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: Bachelors Degree in business management, non-profit management or related field or Associate’s Degree with relevant experience required.
2. Experience: Three to five years of experience working in a management or supervisory position preferred.
3. Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate at multiples levels.
4. Analytical skills to evaluate data and make operational decisions.
5. Proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others.
6. Budget development and administration skills preferred. Planning and program development skills preferred.
7. Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish speaking due to the population we are serving).
8. Must be able to obtain CPR, First Aid, and lifeguard certification.
