Job Description:
The Pool Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests in a fast-paced outdoor pool environment. This role involves mixing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring guest satisfaction, and upholding safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests at the pool bar.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their experience.
- Maintain knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits, including hotel signature drinks.
- Follow all hotel and state liquor laws and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper setup, stocking, and cleanliness of the pool bar area.
- Process payments, operate the POS system, and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service guidelines.
- Assist with food service from the poolside menu when required.
- Work collaboratively with barbacks, servers, and pool attendants.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 1-2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume or resort setting.
- Certifications: Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid food handler’s and alcohol service certification (RBS).
- Skills:
- Strong mixology knowledge and ability to craft a variety of cocktails.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs. for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
