Position Summary
The Sales Support & Purchasing Coordinator plays a key role in helping GLV deliver an exceptional customer experience. This position supports purchasing, inventory management, sales, and equipment asset management to ensure our customers and internal teams have the parts, information, and equipment they need to succeed.
Working closely with Sales, Operations, Production, and Accounting, this individual helps customer opportunities move efficiently from quote through delivery by coordinating materials, supplier communication, equipment availability, and accurate information.
This is a highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting customers, taking ownership, and stepping in wherever needed to help the team succeed. Success in this position comes from being proactive, resourceful, and committed to continuous learning and helping both customers and coworkers win.
Primary ResponsibilitiesInventory & Purchasing
· Maintain accurate inventory records in QuickBooks and the GLV Operational App.
· Perform cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies.
· Create and manage purchase orders.
· Work with suppliers to source parts and materials while balancing quality, cost, and delivery.
· Ensure materials are available to support production and rebuild projects.
· Monitor supplier lead times and communicate potential delays.
· Help improve inventory organization and reduce stock shortages.
Sales Support
· Support the sales team with product availability, pricing, lead times, and supplier information.
· Assist with preparing customer quotes by gathering purchasing and inventory information.
· Coordinate special-order and expedited customer requests.
· Help identify alternative products or suppliers when needed.
· Work closely with Sales and Operations to prioritize customer needs.
· Help improve customer response times and order fulfillment.
Equipment Asset Management
· Track and maintain records of GLV-owned equipment.
· Research used equipment purchase opportunities.
· Assist with equipment purchases and inventory management.
· Help identify equipment available for rebuild or resale opportunities.
Continuous Improvement
· Support barcoding and inventory improvement projects.
· Maintain accurate data throughout QuickBooks and the GLV Operational App.
· Help develop reports that improve inventory visibility.
· Look for opportunities to improve efficiency, customer service, and internal processes.

Within your first year, you will:
· Become a trusted resource for inventory and purchasing information.
· Learn GLV’s products, suppliers, and equipment.
· Support the sales team with fast and accurate information.
· Build strong relationships with suppliers and coworkers.
· Take ownership of your responsibilities while continually looking for better ways to serve customers and improve our processes.

QualificationsRequired
· One to three years of experience in manufacturing, customer service, purchasing, inventory, warehouse operations, inside sales, or a related business environment or equivalent education and demonstrated aptitude.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Comfortable learning new software, including QuickBooks and the GLV Operational App.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
· Self-motivated with a desire to learn, improve, and take ownership of responsibilities.
Preferred
· Experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, or equipment repair environments.
· Experience working with inventory or purchasing systems.
· Mechanical aptitude or an interest in industrial equipment.
· Experience working with suppliers or customers.

Reports To: General Manager

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
