CT Technologist – Day Shift

Reports to: CT Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $26–$38 per hour
Deliver Advanced Imaging with Compassionate Care
Great Lakes Medical Imaging is seeking a skilled and patient-focused CT Technologist to join our CT team. This role provides high-quality CT imaging while supporting an exceptional patient experience throughout their visit. The CT Technologist works collaboratively across departments and performs a variety of duties beyond imaging, including patient communication, documentation, and team support.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations as ordered by referring physicians
- Assist with CT-guided Interventional Radiology procedures
- Start IV lines using proper technique
- Communicate with patients regarding medical history, symptoms, and procedures
- Accurately enter and verify data in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Verify physician orders and follow GLMI CT scan protocols
- Perform daily quality assurance testing with documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and modesty at all times
- Assist fellow technologists, including support with DR X-ray procedures as needed
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory lists
- Operate CT equipment (Siemens & GE), power injectors, PACS/RIS systems, and related technology
- Work overtime as needed
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree in Applied Science, Radiologic Technology from an ARRT-approved program
- New York State Radiologic Technology License or valid temporary license
- ARRT Certification in CT (or within one year of training completion per GLMI policy)
- Valid BLS Certification
- Experience with radiology and medical terminology
- Strong communication, customer service, and technical skills
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use a computer for extended periods
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients in person and by phone
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to make decisions and think quickly
