Instructor, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Openings for both on-site instructors and those who are fully-remote
Monday -Thursday Day and Evening classes (Friday in-service for on-site instructors)
~Compensation is negotiable based on experience
Openings include: Full-time w-benefits/ Part-time / both day and evening classes
On-site positions as well as positions which are fully remote.
We are seeking passionate professionals excited to give back to their career field. We are seeking those with a calling to make a difference in the lives of students as instructors in our Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program. This is a great opportunity to teach the next generation in the highly technical skills required in this field.
Essential functions
- Maintain a positive, professional, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning while ensuring instructional methods and strategies meet the needs of a diverse student population.
- Supervise/monitor student progress & attendance while maintaining accurate student progress records and grades.
- Deliver instruction following pre-approved curriculum and lesson plans.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond accurately to questions from students, managers, clients and customers.
- Deliver instructional content that appropriately prepares the students to pass the national registry exams.
- Ability to solve practical problems and effectively deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.
- Participate in faculty meetings, graduation and other school events as assigned.
- Fully remote positions: Responsible for teaching courses offered in hybrid, and distance learning formats and teaching courses using established texts and materials; ability to use on-line platforms such as Blackboard.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of all learning competencies as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credentialed with OB/GYN, and Abdomen (AB) concentration required or willing to obtain.
- Knowledge of all regulatory standards relevant to DMS education.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Sonographer.
- Must have an associate degree in related field, have graduated from a CAAHEP accredited program with a minimum of three (3) years of related practical work experience OR have eight (8) years of directly related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In addition to above, Bachelors' degree in related field preferred.
