Job Overview
Film Forklift Operator is responsible for the movement of material from inventory to production and back to inventory. Maintains correct paperwork and production records.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes pre-shift/startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
- Monitor and maintain inventory, ensure stored material is tagged properly (code, type, quantity). Ensure FIFO (First In First Out)/ stock rotation by date. Store material in an orderly fashion.
- Stack and secure materials in a safe way. Attention to detail in storage location. Keep like patterns together.
- Provides production departments with material according to production schedule. Ensure films are staged for laminators daily, with enough quantity. Monitor BT (BisTrack) for schedule changes and or updates.
- Monitor de-staged material for re-stocking. Plan for space optimization, using weekly inbound reports.
- Quality assurance support: Non-conforming materials, Supplier returns.
- Inspect condition of material and accuracy of packing list. Prepare product (roll/skid) tags in advance. Serialize skids by receipt date and production sequence.
- Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area
- Participates in safety and other programs.
- Participates in warehouse organization, cycle counts and inventory
· Other duties may be assigned or reassigned at any time.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions
- Organized, analytical thinker, and problem solver.
Education and Experience
- Two year’s related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; required
