Responsibilities include assisting in maximizing workflow and throughput by taking a direct role by ensuring the correct parts and components that are of acceptable quality at designated locations when production requires them. Also taking a responsible role in housekeeping in the Furniture Receiving Department’s assigned areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Receive material from suppliers that could require: Hand receiving (40 lbs. maximum weight by hand). Hand Truck, Pallet Jack or Fork Truck
- Verify that incoming material is correctly labeled, and count is correct
- Inspect received material/components to ensure Polaris Marine standards are met.
- Repair or return material/components that do not meet standard as directed
- Relocate material to required location in warehouse or point of use as required
- Verify that material that is being delivered for installation is correctly labeled and count is correct
- If Forklift assigned perform Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services as directed on powered fork lifts
- Maintain a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job.
