Role Description
The CNC Programmer and Designer on Okuma Machines is a full-time on-site role located in Sparta, MI. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating CNC programs, setting up and operating Okuma CNC machines, and interpreting technical drawings for precision manufacturing. Day-to-day tasks include programming, machining, performing milling operations, ensuring the accuracy of designs, and collaborating with the team to optimize production processes effectively.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC Programming, including creating and troubleshooting CNC programs for Okuma machines
- Strong understanding of Machining and Milling processes for precision manufacturing
- Knowledge of Technical Drawing and the ability to interpret and apply specifications and tolerances
- Experience in Programming, including using CAD/CAM software for design purposes
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a focus on quality
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site, collaborative manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working with Okuma machines is highly preferred
- Technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field is a plus
